February Spanish Newsletter

Picture
“Felíz Día De San Valentin”

“Felíz Día De San Valentin” means “Happy Valentine’s Day.” We had fun last month as we learned about the nieve/snow, how we can use three círculos to make a hombre de nieve/ snowman. The children are developing good self-esteem as they speak more Spanish words and actively participate.  It is always a joy to see their excitement in class and how well they respond to the new language.

February is a special month and we want to take the time to thank our Lord Jesus for his unconditional love for us.  In our Spanish class, we will be talking about how to be “amable”/ “kind” and how to show “amor”/ “love” to others. We will also learn the chorus of the song, “Jesús me ama”/ “Jesus loves me.”  The children are also learning a couple of new Spanish Songs with Miss Rachel for the Spring Sing. They will be busy for a couple of months learning and practicing them during music time with Miss Rachel and Miss Jessica.

          New Vocabulary words

·       amable  -  kind

·       amor  -  love

·       grande  -  big

·       pequeño  -  little

·       Jesús me ama  -  Jesus loves me

·       negro  - (color) black

We also will continue to review the colors learned.  Thank you for encouraging your child to participate in class.  Dios los bendiga / God bless you!
